Please co-sponsor the National Patriot Museum and Education Center Act, that will honor patriots who faught in the American Revolutionary War and the War of 1812---American Wars of Independence authorizing the issuance of a U.S. Marshals Commemorative Coin. Currently, this bill is in committee. Co-sponsors may be added to the legislation while in committee. The legislation needs 290 House co-sponsors and 67 Senate co-sponsors before it will come for a vote. Please contact either Congressman John Lewis's office to become a co-sponsor of this important legislation.
This legislation is budget neutral and will not cost the taxpayer anything. This museum seeks to help all Americans remember, and by remembering, this museum will stimulate a dialogue about patriots who faught for the American Wars of Independence, host an interesting collection of war-related items ranging from vintage weapons, uniforms, paintings and historical maps. The museum will enhance the public's understanding of the meanings and endururing legacy of the American Revolution, the War of 1812 and to protect historic resources associated with both War of Independence.
