About the Patriot Memorial

The Patriot Memorial creates an opportunity for those that care about or who are interested in the Wars of Independence and to  explore and revel in this history.  PM utilizes wonderfully interactive exhibitions that are ripe with the best new technologies — but we will never lose the voices and the memories of the patriots who lived the history.

In these exhibitions and presentations the visitors can explore the American Revolutionary War and the War of 1812---with hands on artifacts, use the archives for research, study historical photographs, maps, patriot diaries, paintings, uniforms, artillery, and furniture.  Visitors explore the American experience by investigating such diverse topics as economic, political and social evolution, diplomatic developments the rise of sectionalism, cultural and intellectual growth, the role of historical and preservation groups, and the relation between war and society.

PM will host workshops, education programs and visitors learn  how to collect oral histories and experience how our founding fathers debated and signed the Declaration of Independence and the Treaty of Ghent.  Visitors will be able to study and learn about the War of Independence and ---study of the forces, event personalities, and principles that have shaped America's role in the world and provided the framework  for the development of current foreign policy.

Visitors explore the Wars of Independence and the social, economic, and political consequences of two conflicts.  In addition, visitors to the Patriot Memorial explores the development of a unique American identity, the debate of the structure of the national government.
