THE BENJAMIN HARRISON SOCIETY
ABOUT US

The Benjamin Harrison Society (BHS) is a nonprofit 501 C (3) nonprofit organization.  BHS was established in 1934 as a nonprofit operating organization to teach students about history, historical preservation and conservation.  In 1995 BHS joined with several government agencies and other organizations to promote effective mathematics, geography, science, and technology for students and to enhance the abilities of capable STEM teachers in K-12 schools worldwide. through its GEARS, DOTS and I DIG History programs.

The program offers hands on geography, engineering, archaeology, reading, and science activities for students through our Fieldwork School Project called " DOTS and I DIG History. " The BHS program features working professionals who captivate students with accounts of life in science mathematics, technology, geography, and history.  BHS students are prepared in how to build their own careers and/or college majors---respond to a glimpse of the "real world".
Since 1995, BHS has been documenting, disseminating, and developing lesson plans for public and private schools and to protect cultural resources through its historical preservation, conservation and restoration program.
