Call for Abstracts and Registration for the 2010 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Expert Annual Conference " Theme: Building Bridges to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education”
Washington, D.C. February 12, 2010 ---More than 25 researchers will speak at The 2010 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Annual Conference, “Building Bridges to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education” the third annual STEM conference to be organized by the Benjamin Harrison Society (BHS) and their partners in Washington, D.C. from April 13 to April 14, 2010.
The advances 2010 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Annual Conference " Building Bridges to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education through a pre-college STEM program reflecting the concepts and high-resolution approaches of modern biological research. It follows on from former BHS meetings to provide an annual STEM forum for scientific exchange in Washington, D.C.

Boasting a speaker faculty of more than 25 well-known expert in STEM, The STEM conference offers a pre-college STEM program that spans the STEM middle and high school disciplines with keynote addresses and plenary sessions focused in a broad cross-section of researchers from all fields of STEM, ranging from agri-science, forest, to computational biology, neuroscience, mathematics, engineering and plant science. This year, 3 scientists will be recognized for their contributions to preparing students in the STEMS pre-college preparation, majors and careers. Workshops and poster sessions will further extend these disciplines and address additional current topics, ensuring a blend of subjects relevant to present-day STEM pre-college programs. This annual event aims to bring experts, administrators, academic leaders, teachers and students together in a friendly atmosphere for them to share their experiences, meet others and establish new collaborations, discuss STEM programs, curriculums and contacts. Each expert can present his/her work with prior submission of a short abstract, which is also published in the meeting booklet. Fellows have the opportunity to meet the BHS and Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum Institute STEM team and give feed-back and suggestions on the activity of the program.
Conference participants are expected to come from Washington, D.C. metro area and worldwide to meet at Washington, D.C. from April 13 through 14, 2010. Sponsored symposia and industry exhibits, career forums and skill development workshops, networking events, prizes and award ceremonies will complement the scientific program.
